The Peninsula

Linked to Tahiti Nui by Taravao's isthmus, also called Taiarapu, the peninsula managed to keep its authenticity and its Polynesian lifestyle. You will feel the pacifying virtues of a peaceful life right away. Your escape will not rely on boat or plane schedule; however you will discover a place where everything feels totally unfamiliar.

It's impossible to drive around the isthmus: indeed, the road ends in the magnificent village of Tautira on the East Coast and in the marvellous village of Teahupoo on the West Coast. Teahupoo is the place where the legendary wave of ""Havae"" breaks. Further more you will find the ""Fenua Aihere"" and the ""Te Pari"" sea cliffs. You can visit those places on foot or by boat.

The ""Au'a Point""

The ""Au'a Point"" is located in the town of Toahotu at approximately 2 miles from the center of Taravao and at an hour driving from Papeete. It ends at the south of ""Phaëton's Bay"", the sea wildlife's favourite place for the spawn. Our villas offer a rare view on luxuriant Tahiti Nui's mountainous massif as if you were somewhere else while you are still at the same place.
